Many times we need to renovate your old furniture which has sunmica or laminate pasted over it. We can either remove the old sunmica and paste new one which could be quite a messy affair, or just paste new sunmica over the old one. Lets check how to paste new sumica over the old one.
- Using wood chisel, make dents in old sunmica using corner of the chisel.
- Using 80 Grit sandpaper and sanding block, sand old sun mica rough.
- Wipe off the resulted powder and make old sunmica dust free.
- Apply Asian paints extreme TruGrip Adhesive usng comb on first backside of new laminate and then roughened side of old laminate. (Before opening this adhesive can, shake it vigorously for one minute).
- Let both sides dry for 6 minutes.
- Apply new laminate to old.
- Tap with wooden block and hammer all surface area using rubber mallet.
- Rub laminate using roller.
